Semi Circular Wall Of Glass Design Architecture Hill House Decorating
Modern hill house desingned by Max Pritchard Architect, located in Adelaide foothills, Autralia. Built with a concrete water tank to form the base of this unusual house, and a semi-circular wall of glass follows the shape of the tank below creating in effect a large bay window.

Description from Architects:
A fifty year old city concrete water tank has been reused to form the base of this unusual house in the Adelaide foothills.
Two levels of the house were built within the tank. The lower level is entirely underground and serves as a substantial cellar/storage area (useful for the wine lovers).
The mid level is partly above ground, enabling holes to be cut in the concrete tank walls to form windows for the children’s bedrooms, rumpus room and laundry.
A new upper level on top of the old tank, allows the main living areas and master bedroom to enjoy panoramic views of the foothills, Adelaide Plains and the sea. A semi-circular wall of glass follows the shape of the tank below creating in effect a large bay window to maximise this expansive northerly aspect.
