Twin House Design

The twin houses in architecture by A-cero. The project presents two residential buildings placed in adjacent plots with similar areas.

Here the comment of the architects :
The North-East house has an L-shape, composed of two blocks – a cube and a rectangular shape that absorbs the slope of the terrain. The cube contains the living and dining room extended to a porch that enjoys the view over the pool and the valley. The bathroom, the laundry room, as well as the bedrooms are situated inside the rectangular block. The design of the South-West house is solved with a single cube distributed on two floors and evolving around a patio that brings light to the interior spaces. The entrance gives access to the living and dining room. The rest of the premises are organizes around the patio – the bathroom, the gym, the laundry room, the kitchen, a second living room and a bedroom with a bathroom. On the upper floor there is an office overlooking the living room. A L-shaped pool plays the role of a connecting element between the two houses. In an effort to keep the cleanness and openness of the interior spaces, both houses have been built using steel frame structures. The floors are covered with a white epoxy resin, contrasting with the dark materials used for the furniture and frames. The lighting uses indirect sources hidden in the walls, combined with halogens in the spots where needed and thus creates a more pleasant atmosphere. via dezona
